Yanchep Beach Club: a bit of class at Capricorn Point

The bar and the great marble benchtop at the Yanchep Beach Club.

Yanchep hasn’t had a place like this before.

The Yanchep Beach Club opened in December 2025, sitting out on Capricorn Esplanade at the point, and the thing it’s brought north isn’t just another place to eat it’s a different atmosphere. Somewhere you’d take people to show them a modern side of coastal life .

The bar is a highlight

Start here, because it’s what I’d tell a friend first: there’s a big white marble bar at the front, and it’s made for a large group, or for a few groups to meet up.

Six or eight of you around it on a Saturday night, drinks in hand, and the room does the rest.

There’s often a DJ on Friday and Saturday night, with Sunday DJ sets as well. The music helps, kind of retro and stylish, played like someone chose it rather than a playlist algorithm. It gives the place an energy that’s relaxed and a bit grown-up at the same time.

If you’re looking for a reason to go, that’s a pretty good reason.

Two venues, not one

Worth knowing before you plan anything: the Beach Club is really two things.

Sol Coffee Kiosk opens from 8am, seven days. Outdoor seating, straight off the beach. This is your morning-after-a-swim coffee, not a destination.

The Beach Club proper runs lunch and dinner — 11:30am till late Monday to Thursday, from midday Friday to Sunday. Licensed, sit-down, the marble bar, the works.

So “going to the Beach Club” means two quite different outings depending on the hour.

To see the latests of what’s going on, check on their page which includes special events such as quiz nights, Pie & Mash Night, Sunday Roasts, Sunday DJs and even morning yoga.

The food

Good. Genuinely.

The honest caveat: a few people have mentioned the prices are a little high, and that’s a fair observation rather than a complaint you can dismiss. You’re paying something for the room and the location. Whether that’s worth it depends on what you came for. A family feed, probably not. A night out with friends, probably yes.

The view… a straight answer

It’s right on Capricorn Point, and it delivers a proper beach vibe.

But if you’ve been to Ocean’s 27 at Shorehaven or up at Amberton, the outlook there is wider and more dramatic. The Beach Club doesn’t quite match that sweep. It’s a different thing, more enclosed with a wide exanse of grass out the front for the kids to play on while you enjoy the cafe or bar.

That’s not a knock. Just don’t drive up expecting the biggest view on the coast, because that’s not the pitch.

Who it’s for

  • A group of friends on a Saturday night. The bar, the music, the energy. This is its best form.
  • After the beach. The kiosk, outside, sandy feet, no fuss.
  • Taking people somewhere. Visitors, a birthday, an occasion. It’s great for that.

It’s less obviously a casual weekly local. the prices see to that. But as the place Yanchep didn’t have until late 2025, it’s a good addition and certainly worth going.
